Tongariro Volcanic Adventures
Tongariro Apline Crossing transport:
Tongariro Volcanic Adventures bus leaves from Ski Haus at 7:10am on fine days. You will be dropped off at Mangatepopo, the start of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, and then picked up at the end from Ketetahi.
What to bring: Tongariro NP weather is changeable.Be prepared for all weather conditions !!
- Food and plenty of fluid, especially on hot days (approx 2 litres)
- Waterproof rain coat (overtrousers are a good idea too)
- Sturdy boots
- Warm woollen or polypropylene clothes (Cotton clothes do not not keep you warm when wet)
- Sun hat (or if cold woollen hat and gloves)
- Sunscreen SPF 15+
- Personal First aid kit
Mountain Biking transport:
Tongariro Volcanic Adventures bus will pick up and drop off mountain bikers (and their bikes) for all local tracks around Tongariro National Park. This service is available on demand for two or more people.
Costs $30 per person return (minimum 2 people)
